2024 OG Summer Camp for Dyslexic Learners
WE ARE FULL FOR 2024
Rising 1st - 3rd Graders
During this three week camp, young learners will work with OG trained teachers to learn a variety of aspects of reading/writing and math including (depending on the students age and previous instruction):

sounds and letter formation for the 26 basic phonemes

long and short vowels and what makes them long and short (i.e. magic e, vowel teams, open syllables)

r-controlled vowels
-
vowel teams
-
digraphs & trigraphs
-
Grammatical elements to form a complete sentence
-
prefixes and suffixes
-
readers theater for fluency and prosody
-
multi-sensory math that will include fluency work on decomposing numbers using blocks
-
Acadience testing at the beginning and end of camp
Tuition: $2000
Dates: June 24th-July 12th (closed July 4th & 5th)
Time: 9:30-2pm (includes 90 minutes of academic work plus 90 minutes of STEAM Studio time and 1 hour of outdoor play.)

**Students will be placed in groups no larger than 4 students per group and will need to attend an informal evaluation session the first weekend in May or early June to be placed for camp.
Upon acceptance of your child's enrollment, you will receive an invoice for a $200 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. The total payment is due April 1st.

Rising 4th - 8th Graders

Daily Orton-Gillingham Word Study

compound sentence structure
-
using subordinating conjunctions and transition words

appositive sentence structure
-
mentor sentences
-
thesis statements for 5 paragraph essays
-
advanced word study including greek & latin affixes
-
the three suffixing conventions of the English language
-
one novel study
-
multi-sensory math
-
